If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

  • How to Higher Your Current Level of Consciousness: Volume One

    In the last article, there was a break down of the infinite levels of consciousnesses into twenty-two basic levels. Everything in each individuals surrounding environment has a part in their current over-all awareness level and that is what this article is about, being aware of how to be more conscious. Since the more conscious you are then the more higher your over-all conscious level will be.

    There are infinite numbers of ways to raise consciousness levels and expand awareness. In the closing of the last article, a statement that certain areas of your life might be on one level of conscious awareness, while another area might be on a completely different level was mentioned but there is an over-all level.

    For example, you might be addicted to smoking on the level of "Lowest Experience of Orange" but over-all at the level of "Green *Independence*". Using this example, one area of your life (addicted to smoking) might be the only thing holding you back from reaching the over-all conscious level of Blue. Everyone’s conscious states are different and the scenarios are infinite, but no matter what over-all level you are at and the area(s) that are holding you back, there are key universal ways to higher your over-all level of consciousness.

    How to Higher Your Current Level of Consciousness

    1. Observation- Just observing where you are at and noticing where you desire to be can create focus on your intention to reach a higher level of consciousness. It gives your current level a boost. This is the main reason the last article was written. When you are consciously aware of where your current level is at and where the next level experience is, then you can consciously move your consciousness in that direction. Furthermore, the main thing to discover about observation is that what you put in is what you will get out. In other words, everything in life is a series of events and it starts with what you are putting in, next comes thought, then comes words, words shape into actions and those actions create your experience.

    These than are the things that impact Observation, into low or higher levels of consicousnesses:
    · Television/ Media- Television and media systems will only lower your consciousness levels extremely. I put it in here under this section (what you put in, is what you will get out) since most people put in a daily dose of TV and radio media. Unaware that these broadcasting systems are used through a very precise frequency, no matter what the channel they both give off an exact frequency of unnatural vibrations that trigger a design to disengage the natural body frequency and stimulate a frequency of fear. This frequency wavelength bypasses the audible range of the consciousness. If you desire to read more, of such unconscious systems click here. Try this exercise, turn on the TV news, read a newspaper, or search for the news online. Next, make a list and count how many negative words verse how many positive words you hear or see. A first-rate bet is that you will have a massively huge list of negative words compared to positive words. Put in negative and out comes negative.
    · Reading- When you are continuously reading uplifting, inspiring, motivating, knowledgeable wisdom or anything to help you to remember, an automatic process will eventually unfold and you will come to a point where you will not have to be reminded anymore, it will just be part of the main consciousness. If you do not have time to read, listening to audio-books in the car on the way to work, on the way back and everywhere in-between no matter how long it takes or anywhere you go, will be extremely raising to your consciousness.
    · State of Being- Observe yourself through the filter of who you really are as an unconditional loving being with infinite potential, this is not practical all the time but sometimes the best way to be highly conscious is to not let anything in. By not allowing any object in or to shape your reality, you reserve a place for you to realize yourself as being who you really are. The way to observe yourself as you truly are is to understand that state of being is everything. Yet as a result, being has nothing to do with anything outside you, no objects. In addition, nothing shapes or impacts being either because your thoughts, feelings, and even your body are objects. All objects are constantly changing. Hence, being-ness always remains the same, in the moment, never changing. Being-ness does not exist on a continuous line of time. Being-ness is forever always there. Being-ness is all there is, all there ever was, and all there will ever be. Conceivably if being-ness is all there ever was then it was before anything at all, even before the universe of all creation. Yet, what were you being before creation? Just Being, to say you were being ‘something’ is to merge with an object and you are not an object. You could easily use the word: I AM-NESS in the place of Being-ness and get the same result. Hence, what one is meant by: I AM THAT I AM. To say I am love or I am being love is to misunderstand ones true self, which is relate-able to no object of emotion or feeling. In this observation you will determine that unconditional love is not an emotion, it a state of being, your natural state of being and within that state of being you will realize your infinite potential.
    2. Focus- If you desire to see anything in your life grow then you must focus on it. Focus is not only like gasoline to flame but focus can create the flame itself. As a magnify glass bending and concentrating the sun in such a manner that a flame is created. Here is a list of things to focus on if your desire is to grow, expand and higher your consciousness.

    These are the things that have an impact on focus:
    · Gratitude- Gratefulness is life changing for the fact that if you a grateful then you are filtering your experiences through being grateful and experiencing more things to be grateful for, which in turn causes more grateful experiences to come your way. Therefore focusing on gratitude is very effective in consciousness increasing.
    · Visualize- your brain does not know the difference between imagining or visualizing verse what you perceive as reality. This means that if you focus on visually imagining something, vividly, many times, your brain will produce that result, giving you the potential to produce any result on every level of your life that you can imagine! Here is an exercise that you can do in order to understand this in your own experience.
    · Develop Imagination- Through a series of events, we lost the use of our imagination, and it is important because without the imagination we stay stuck in the same realm of what the past has to offer. History can only repeat itself under these circumstances. Albert Einstein said it this way. “You can not solve a problem with the same type of thinking that caused it.” Imagination gives us the opportunity to see more choices in order to experience new perspectives and shed more light on more understanding and knowledge. Imagination does open a new choice and imagination unlocks unlimited choices. Imagination is the ability to search for new information and that search is unlimited. Imagination allows you to see beyond what was originally there. When all else fails imagination is the key to finding success. The problem is that most people limit their own imagination through the filter of the limited beliefs. You limit one thing inside you and the rest gets limited as well. If you have a limited belief that says, “I can’t” or “Not possible” then you limit your imagination to see past the limited belief system you have in place. The reason being is that we all put so much importance on the knowledge of the world than the imagination around the world. In any moment, we come to a problem the first thing we do to get a solution is research and try to gain knowledge about the problem. Instead of going within and use, the tool called our imagination. If you use your imagination to the ability it is designed and capable of using, you would find all the knowledge of the world within your own imagination. Then you would be able to go beyond that and see answers to the problem that pure knowledge and research could not find. In other words, the solution to any problem is within you and the answer is your imagination. Use it wisely and you can achieve anything you can imagine!     · Dreams- Your reality is a reflection of your dreams because what you believe is what you will see in your reality and in your dreams. Dreams seem to be less solid giving the experience of dreams to seem more flexible given what you believe. Yet no matter what your experience of dreams, if you focus on remembering them then your dreams will give you a very accurate model of your conscious state of reality. The more you can bend dreams, the more flexible your consciousness is to reality and visa versa. I realize that most of the information presented here are things I have mentioned in past articles but they are highly effective in raising consciousness levels.
