Welcome

If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

Enjoy!
  • This is how to lucid dream easily and instantly. It's easily done to have a lucid dream and it's easier to instantly keep having them with this simple technique.

My first experience of lucid dreaming was the most fantastic adventure that ever happen to me and it was discovered completely by accident. It was so magnificently lucid, I wanted to reproduce the result. So the question entered my mind: "How to lucid dream easily and instantly?" I figured there had to be lucid dreaming techniques on how to lucid dream at will and gain dream control.

Before I introduce how I began lucid dreaming, which is a proven lucid dreaming technique... What is lucid dreaming anyhow? In short, it's to be completely consciously aware that you are dreaming. In other words, to be awake while inside your dream. The main key benefit to a lucid dream is the ability to control dreams and experience anything you can image in a very real way.

In fact, most lucid dreams are more real than reality. One would think that being aware to the fact of your dream, it would suddenly lose it's realness factor, but the opposite is true; the dream begins to feel very alive and you become completely present to exactly what is happening. All factors of being preoccupied with thinking, day-dreaming, past/ future projections, unfocused activity, etc; drop away and you are so fully engaged that all senses are charged, turned-on and extremely vibrant. All your scenery perceptions are alive with a brilliant awe-ness that shines through everything you observe. It's almost like you are experiencing everything directly without filters.

Lucid dreams can indeed be tremendously intense, eerie, always fresh and new, mysterious, magical and unlike anything that can be described here... You have to experience it for yourself to understand.

Consequentially, the question still remains; how do you lucid dream?
Here is a simple but effective lucid dreaming technique:

Since dreams are a reflection of reality, we tend to most often dream about people, places, animals and objects that are in our daily reality. This lucid dream technique is about using that fact to our advantage.

The idea is to start a daily habit, this habit will likely introduce itself in a dream, but when it happens in a dream; you will instantly be made aware that you are dreaming.

The key is that every time you question the nature of a dream, you always become aware that you are dreaming. It's like an automatic occurrence, that when you're dreaming, if you question "Am I dreaming?", then you immediately awake to the fact that you're dreaming.

To create the habit and set into motion this lucid dreaming technique, follow these steps:
    1. Create a 3X5 card.
    2. Write "Am I Dreaming?" on the front of the card.
    3. Draw a symbol on the back of the card. Draw a icon that has meaning to you or just a simple shape.
    4. Carry this card with you throughout your day. Keep it in your pocket or somewhere you have easy access to it.
    5. Pull out the card throughout your day, when you think of it. Read the the front side of the card, then turn it over and look at the back side of the card.

Within about 2 weeks you will look at the card in a dream, but when you look at the card in your dream, in that moment, you will instantly know you are dreaming.

When I pulled the card out in a dream, the eye I drew (which consisted of just a few simple lines that resembled an eye) looked different. I am not sure how to describe the difference, maybe more real, but when it happened I knew I was dreaming.

For your convenience, I made a lucid dreaming 3X5 card for you:

    Front of 3X5 Card
    Back of 3X5 Card

    The next steps are:
    1. Click the button above
    2. Print the card off
    3. Cut along the dotted lines
    4. Paste the 3X5 cards together
To make the card thicker and more durable, paste the 3X5 cards on a poster board or cardboard, business-card printing-paper will work nicely too.
