Welcome

If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

Enjoy!
  • Two Worlds: Part 2: Focus

If you have not taken the opportunity to read the article “Two Worlds: Part 1” I recommend it, as this is a follow up to that post.

In the dream of life, as I mentioned in the previous post there are two worlds and my intent in this post is to take a deeper look into world one where you consciously choose to stay inside the dream to solve the problems. Progressively you will see this direction fading into the background while still keeping it around for balance purposes only and the reason is that what you focus on grows.

If your desire to become very skilled at something in life you must make it your focus to see it grow. For example, if sharpening your skills at art is your goal then you must see, hear, smell, taste, and breathe art. Watch documentaries about art, listen to audios covering art, research art, take art classes, and focus on anything art related. It is obvious that if done consistently then art will become a very powerful skill in your life. Eventually you will express yourself through your art to create more art in this world!

This is true for anything you focus on in life. If your goal is to end poverty in this world then that will be your focus. What do you think will happen if you see, hear, smell, taste, and breathe poverty? Just like art, you would create more poverty! You may disagree with that statement and question it, but I encourage you to question it indeed. Let me take it to another level in order to explain it more fully. All words have great influence on everybody’s subconscious mind, to the effect that each word is positive, negative, or neutral. It is an individual choice but to me ‘poverty’ is a very negative word and when shared with others it produces that result within the field that you are creating. Therefore, when proceeding to accomplish something use the word that creates your intent.

For example, if your goal is to create peace then do not use the word war. War is a negative word and creates fear. We only fear war because we have limited beliefs about peace. Fearing war is a limited belief in the lack of peace. The lacking of peace is only a manifestation of the lack of peace inside us. Focus on the word peace instead of war and you will create peace.

Are you still not convinced? Try this exercise, turn on the TV news, read a newspaper, or search for the news online. Next, make a list and count how many negative words verse how many positive words you hear or see. A first-rate bet is that you will have a massively huge list of negative words compared to positive words because we live in a world that is fear based. I mean seriously, when there is such fear as pteronophobia, peladophobia and allodoxaphobia something is wrong. We are fear fed through the media to keep people in that state. The media is a makebate. How do you think this whole war business happened? When your fed fear then you will see, hear, smell, taste, and breathe fear. It is no flabbergast why the majority create more fear. Focus on love and on being love within, instead of focusing on the worry about war and producing fear. The choice for love is comparable to the choice for fear. Just choose love. Legends are ones who provide collyrium to wash our vision of fear.
