Are You Paying Attention? Occupy Wall Street Global Revolution

You will NOT know about this from mainstream media, but this is very interesting!

Perhaps you heard a little bit on the news about "Occupy Wall Street" (their other website and here) protests?

These protests started in New York on Wall Street and now it has grown statewide throughout America and this same movement is slowly moving globally as well! You can see groups of every state joining together for the same cause at: http://www.occupytogether.org/ and http://www.meetup.com/occupytogether/ and 200+ Events.

If you have a facebook account, you can find groups of "Occupy Protesters" in every state throughout the USA. The amount of support and likes for these groups are profound (have a quick look, you don't need to have a facebook account):

In short, these protests are about the 99% of people across the globe who feel the financial pressures. Poverty is increasing, foreclosures on homes are increasing, jobs are decreasing; 99% of the population around the world are effected.

The protesters feel that the monetary system is no longer ethical based. References to the banks bailouts, the left and right sides of political payoffs, and unfair system due to corporate entities, capitalism, and misuse of power by the top 1% of wealthiest leaders; started the protester movements. Their idea is that the power is really in the 99% of the population and if we come together, we can stop playing this game and unite for a decent system. Their motto and slogan is "We are the 99%".

Here's Michael Moore's take on it (a very wealthy film maker who is in favor of the protests):

It is interesting to note that the mainstream media's are giving spotty coverage on this mass movement. The protesters say that the mainstream media are the same corporate entities of the 1%, so you will not hear about this revolutionary uprising that is happening nationwide from state to state and slowly moving globally. This movement started on September 17, 2011 and has been growing ever since.

Occupy Wall Street and all the "Occupy Protests" movements are keenly focused on the power of nonviolence. Using words like: peaceful nonresistance, fighting without force, and nonviolent movement. This movement also references people who have made great change with nonviolence (below are some examples used):

1. Mahatma Gandhi, who was a leader of the nonviolent resistance movement against British colonial rule in India during the first half of the 20th century. Here is a short clip from a movie that was based on how he lead his people into a revolutionary change without any form of violence. This clip is referenced on Occupy Wall Street's Live Stream Video Feed when it's not live.

2. Martin Luther King, who is best known for being an iconic figure in the advancement of civil rights in the United States and around the world, using nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Here is a short clip of him speaking about how nonviolence is the most powerful weapon.

3. Charlie Chaplin, who is best known for his silent films, made his first talking picture; "The Great Dictator" (1940), which was an act of defiance against Nazism. It was filmed and released in the United States one year before the U.S. entry into World War II. Here is a short clip of him (in the film above) talking about dictatorships and the need for helping people through uniting for the democracy of a decent world. This clip is also referenced on Occupy Wall Street's Live Stream Video Feed when it's not live.

Even as these nonviolent protesters have been peacefully fighting without force or harm, they have been treated violently by being abused, maced, pepper-strayed, dragged, thrown, pushed, and treated like deliberately cruel animals by the New York Police Department. Watch this video, where three women are trapped in an orange police net and pepper-strayed in the face (Sep 25, 2011):

Here is a slow motion video of the one above, clearly showing exactly what happened. Why was the pepper spray used?

There are 100's of videos where the NYPD are treating the Occupy Wall Street nonviolent protesters in similar manners.

You may have heard a brief mainstream news cast about 700+ protesters being arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge (Oct 1st, 2011):

What you may have NOT known is that while the Brooklyn Bridge arrests were taking place, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (a multinational banking corporation) give a 4.6 million dollar donation to the New York Police Department. Which can be found on the JPMorgan Chase website saying: "JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation" read more here. Protesters say this is no coincidence:

You might have heard from the mainstream media that this movement is just a bunch of hippies, collage students, and anarchists... yet these are a mix of the 99% including working class Americans, American soldiers, and librarians:

If you are interested in keeping up-to-date with these movements, consider alternative media sources like RT America ... Current TV with Keith Olbermann .. (Current TV Youtube Channel)... The Occupy Wall Street Press ... Occupy Youtube TV ... Daily Video from Occupy Wall Street (and of course the links to Occupy Wall Street in the beginning of this article).

You will also hear on mainstream media that the protesters are unorganized but see yourself, they are completely organized from A to Z:

The mainstream media questions their demands and say they don't have an organized list of demands, yet it is very clear what they want collectively when you listen to alternative news: Keith Olbermann reads the first collective statement of Occupy Wall Street
