Today marks day 30 of Powiull sleep. I am still napping 3 times every 24 hours for 15 minutes each nap. Two naps during the night cycle.
Exercise and Energy
I have been walking a total of 3 miles, 1.5 miles to destination and 1.5 back home. I also been bike riding, pushing myself until I start breathing heavily. There have been no changes to my energy levels or nap lengths.
Day Time/ Night Time
Since I am up almost the same amount of time during the day as I am the night, I can no longer do thing based on a day/night sequence. It makes no difference to me if the time is at night or during the day, I feel the same awareness and energy levels throughout any time. Due to this factor, I can't plan things in my life based on those concepts.
For example, I don't work during the day and pick up where I left off the next day, there is no time that tells me to stop what I am doing and start something else. However, this doesn't seem to be a problem for me, I only do what makes me feel good in the moment, if I lose interest then I start something else that feels more satisfying given that moment. Living through the moment like this seems to be very productive and I never hit a point of burn-out due to this type of choosing joy in the moment.
Getting Things Done
Most people set-up goals in order to map-out their life and make sure they get the things done that they intend. Although I do have focuses that align to goals, I don't look at things in that manner. I always have an awareness of what I would like to get done, but I only work on them in the moments that feel good based on my emotional aspects to it.
For simple everyday to day things, like cleaning the house, eating, brushing my teeth, taking a shower, etc... it's never a planed or set thing. I just go by noticing what I notice in the moments I become aware of such things.
For example, I spend most of my time downstairs, but the bathroom is upstairs. The bathroom is next to the dinning-room, which is connected to the kitchen. When I goto the bathroom, I will notice the kitchen and if the dishes need done. However I only straight things up if I feel the urge in that moment, nothing is ever a thought of "I have to get that done!".
Most people eat, brush their teeth, and shower in the morning when they are getting ready for the day, but I just do these things when I notice them. When you get aligned to your natural body signals, your body will tell you what it needs and will not take much to notice the signals. When I was on monophasic sleep, I would brush my teeth once or twice a day, based on my day scheme. I would never notice when I actually needed to brush my teeth, I just did it out-of-habit.
Now on Powiull sleep, nothing is done out of habit, however I am more sensitive to what my body is telling me. I now brush my teeth when I notice the grim-building-up and it is nothing like on monophasic sleep. You know how sometimes you can go too long without brushing your teeth and you can feel your mouth is needing it? It's like that but I can feel the effects of that even before I NEED it. The slightest grim-build-up is noticeable. Basically my awareness of body factors are heightened, so I don't need a day/night rhythm because I listen to my body rhythm. On average I brush my teeth about every 6-8 hours and shower about 15-48 hours based on my body rhythm.
Eating
Eating based on body rhythm is very different. In fact, I have not found a rhythm with this yet. Actually listening to my body based on this is interesting because it's extremely out-of-sequence with what most people consider 'normal'.
One of the first things you notice right away when adopting a new sleeping pattern, is that your appetite decreases. When I started polyphasic sleep the first time, I went 16 hours without eating because I never got hungry. I only eat after that 16 hours because I noticed that it has been a long time since I last eat. I calculated how long, therefore I figured I should eat. I never really felt the urge to eat at all while on polyphasic sleep though, just the satisfaction of eating felt good.
Now on Powiull sleep, I am noticing the samething, but I am still eating just for the pleasure to eat. I don't know the body rythum of this because I have not tested how long I can go without eat before I start to feel hungry. I know several times, I did go more than 24 hours without eating and each time never felt hungry. I am starting to think that eating is much like sleep, it is done of out habit.
Social Life
Throughout my life I have always been considered a loner. I can be very social and actively contribute to social conversations with ease, but it never interested me as much as spending time alone. Basically the reasoning is because I never took the time to attract consciously aware people into my life and the mainstream conversations/interests were never my style. However online conscious people are everywhere, through this medium I can attract many conscious people who are interested in development. Therefore my social life is not effected by this sleeping pattern because my social life is online and I spend most of my time online.
Mapping Out My Average 24 Hours
Basically in a 24 hour period I spend 90% of my time on the computer. Does this hurt my eyes or cause any minor effects? No. I have spent much of my life on the computer, so perhaps I evolved past that point or that point is not really a reality.
I use the computer time for many things (while following the moment) that relate to my passion and this site. There is a list of things that are involved when owning a blog/site that your average person would never guess. It's more than writing valuable content on an consistent basis. For a small list of these things, I would like to share with you a very popular blog called Problogger and the small list of things he constructed about the time spent with your blog and the things that are involved to the owner of a blog/site. That should give a brief idea about what I do with 90% of my time.
I spend so much time on this because I love it, it's my passion, and when your job is your passion, you take it to the extreme. Most people would consider it overboard, but those people don't live their passion, so they have no reference-point to compare. Besides I am helping hundreds of people and receive many emails from people expressing their gratitude, therefore I can't see anything wrong with it.
However, once this site reaches the state of 'popular' and I can mange an average income every month from it. I will spend far less time on that list and more time on making valuable content. As far as value content goes, compared to everything else I do on the computer, I can produce an article that is considered very value (judged by how many people share it with others and how many people read it) and only take 20% of my computer time creating that article. As a result, when I reach the goal of an average income a month, I can imagine that the time basis will change and the rest of my time will be used by spreading this medium else-where and enjoying life to the maximum capacity with no limits on what I can do due to money limits that I have now (yet this area of my life is changing rapidly thanks to you as the reader of Conscious Flex). Without you this site would be static and I am very grateful for your interest, thank you!
Last Update
Now that I reach the 30 day mark, I am not going to make another update until another 30 days is reached unless something changes. If I don't update Powiull sleep for a while, it's because nothing changed and the pattern is still active with no changes.
