I got in my car to go back home after visiting with a friend and the next thing I know I am back at my place without conscious remembrance of driving. My thoughts were so deep that I was not consciously driving. I have done this many times before, as I am sure you have with perhaps reading a book your really interested in or watching a fascinating movie, but when this happens while driving and somehow you still make it home, then you must wonder how that is possible?

Breaking Things Down to a Logical Level
Of course, if you are aware of the studies that have been done on the working of the mind so far from what we can understand then you could easily logically explain it in a way that you feel comfortable with. Yet, in this article I will offer you a once in a life-time experience after experience.

Most people, when they think of a ‘miracle’ they define it as the classical dictionary way: “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs or a divinely natural phenomenon experienced humanly as the fulfillment of spiritual law.” What does divine intervention mean?

Life itself can be seen as a miracle, yet you could explain it through the process of an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction. In this way you can understand how life is created on a logical level, but what does that mean? Why must we break everything down into a logical level of understanding? It is easy to see that YOU and I are a miracle, out of over several million sperms YOU are the ONLY one (unless you have a twin ETC...) that pushed yourself into the egg: out of several million!

Of course, most people break things down. You could say that over several million people play the lotto and one person wins. Yet this is not even a miracle because someone has to win, right? Wrong! Someone doesn’t have to win, in fact most of the time lotto’s build up to quite a sum of money before someone finally wins. Even that doesn’t matter to some, it is just static’s. However, what happens if you win the lottery? I mean imagine it, you are a millionaire even perhaps a billionaire! Could you really see it as luck then? You could and some do, but statically speaking more people who win feel there was more then luck going on behind it.

What is a Miracle?
Miracles are happening all around us all the time. Perhaps it is difficult to see that because of the way you define a miracle. Yet a miracle put in a defined box without being experienced is radical. You could say someone is lucky for wining the lotto, but when it happens to you then the way you define a miracle is on the experience of wining the lotto. Perhaps your perception will change if you win because after all static’s say the chances are likely.

The Way You Define Miracles
Here is the tricky part because if miracles are experience not definitions then if your definition is limited, it is likely your experience is too. Do you not see the paradox? The only way to experience a miracle is by the way you define miracles in your life. If you define a miracle by a divine intervention and therefore wait around for something ‘divine’ to happen in order to see a miracle, then you will be always be waiting. Especially if you do not believe in divine intervention. You may define a miracle as ‘lucky’ and wait around until you have an experience of being lucky in order to see the miracle. You could wait for miracles or you could change the way you define miracles and shape your experience to having them often. How do you define a miracle? Do you define it in a way that you can only experience a miracle in one way, one area, one certain experience? If you limit the way you define a miracle then you limit yourself and your experience to them.

So the next time you arrive at your destination through driving and you were not consciously aware of doing so; be thankful that you are alive at that moment because you literally were unconscious while driving! If you do not see that as a miracle then chances are you may never experience a miracle in your lifetime.
